The Way: Teaching June 1, 2009, Monday

42They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts. (emphasis mine)
Which leads to the question: Why?
If we want to make an impact in our society we have to show them that we are committed. We have to take it from something that allows us to feel better about ourselves to something that has eternal implications. The way to do that is “The Way”. It’s time that we start to live this lifestyle and stop apologizing for what we believe. If we starting living our faith we might make people mad or uncomfortable but at least we will be true to ourselves and people will not hold that against us. People have problems with Christianity because Christians fail to live it in all areas of their lives. If we are not willing to be devoted to teaching and learning about God then why should they?
Let’s devote ourselves to teaching and learning daily and stop being Sunday morning Christians so we can have the impact that all of us want to have.
