I don’t know if you’ve ever watched Veggie Tales. If you haven’t they are a must watch. This past week after Lindsay’s surgery we were kinda home bound which left Keaton watching a lot of shows. It was an awesome Veggie Tales marathon. I love those shows and I often find myself urging him to pick the ones I like (I can’t get enough of “The Lord of the Beans”)

Do you have a secret love for Veggie Tales? Why not?

I just finished watching Lord of the Beans! I’ve been singing the umbrella song all night. It’s now stuck in my mom’s head. Haha.

I love veggietales because they use pop culture that adults and teens [like me] love the parody of and little kids learn a lesson about the world and God. It’s a great resource for churches.

For example, our church was just joined by a very large family with 6 kids in a variety of ages. at least two are mentally handicapped and have social problems. One has very bad attention issues and misbehaves terribly. We’ve all been praying about it. One day at church, he told the story of Moses almost perfectly. Those in the room were shocked and happy. When my mom complimented him, he replied with a happy “Thanks! I LOVE veggietales.” This boy is a little bit older than I am and he’s two grades below, a freshman at 17. This was an inspiration. It’s always great to see little improvements and spiritual growth in what seems to have little hope left. =]
