I want to tell you about the conversation I had with our students from China. Like I said in pt 1 I had to watch the echange students while the rest of the school took the PSAT…We ended up talking about curch and reglion all morning. I really wanted to talk to our students from china when this conversation came up, but I neve expected what I learned…
I asked them if they knew any Christians and they just looked at me with blank expressions… So I tried to explain it better because maybe it was a language barrier. So I asked them if they knew anyone that believed that Jesus Christ was their savior, with out hessitation they all said yes. Now realze that all 3 girls are from different parts of China. But when they hear the word christian they don’t understand it… but they understand someone believing in Jesus. This made me think of what people thought of me. Do they see me has just a christian or do poeple know that my faith is in Jesus Christ.
This taught me so much about the life we are called to live…In America we are so scared to step out and be a follower of Christ, we don’t want to be different, but I talked to 3 girls from China and they all knew people that believed in Jesus. In a country where you could get arrested for your faith people are known only by that title. They are not christians in the sense of the word they are christians by how they live… it’s time we learn from the rest of the world and live our faith.
By the way none of the girls are belivers themselves so the people they know aren’t because of thier own beliefs.

This past week I got to watch our foreign exchange students while most of the school took the PSAT. It was cool to see how they were interacting with each other. I had 3 girls from South Korea, 3 girls from China, a boy from Germany, and a boy from Macedonia. They were talking and doing home work for a while but then the conversation went somewhere I never expected.
About 30-45 min into the morning I noticed they were talking about church…How crazy is that! They started talking about the how different their church looked, who’s was better, etc. I immediatly wanted in on this conversation.
After talking to them about who they believed Jesus was, and what they did at their church…I thought how big is our God. Here I was talking to a 16yr old South Korean girl about Jesus, and the thing that South Korean Christians are doing to support our bothers and sisters in Christ in North Korea. We talked about reading the bible and I was even able to show her through biblegateway that their bible was the same as mine.
Isn’t it time we start remembering that God is not an American God…when will we come together under Jesus’ name and become the body of Christ worldwide? The rest of the Christians in the world want it do we?

Our small group meet at the church tonight. We have been watching a series on the Holy Spirit, but tonight I got my lesson from my son Keaton.
He was playing with his cars (it’s either cars or Veggie Tales these days) when he ran up to Lindsay and handed them to her. He then went and picked up Tony’s hat and handed it to him. I was like WOW! He stopped playing with his cars to walk over and help someone out.
I immediately thought to myself how many times have I stopped what I’m doing to help someone else? Do you? If we would just open our eyes and look around we would see so many opportunities to put down our “cars” and help. Remember Christianity is the original “Just Do It.”
